I got sent a really good survey today about how we can all pitch in to 'cool the earth' so to speak. The survey is being run by Carte Blanche in effort to cover the growing concerns that South Africans have on climate change and how it's affecting our immediate environment.
My friend, Peter G. works as their Interactive Editor, and he appealed to me to cover this topic as a means to raise participation in the global survey that Carte Blanche, the award-winning investigative journalism television, is running. The show airs on Mnet at 7pm every Sunday and has been covering poignant topics facing SA with regard to worsening climate changes. The first in their "Cool Earth" series was the effect of new coal-mining developments on protected wetlands and eco-friendly marshes around South Africa.
Considering media reports this afternoon suggest that US President Bush is gearing up towards a more aggresive stance against the climate change problem, and this signifies that more country leaders will start looking at the true impact of our energy usage and how its affecting the earth. We should therefore look at what we can do individually that can remove some of the strain that we put on "Mother Nature" everyday.
If you would like to be included in the survey, please go take part in the Cool Earth survey that is up on Carte Blanche's website. The results from the survey will be aired this Sunday on the show so be sure to check out the results then.
